Less distress and fear, more focus on life outside of your own mind.

When your mind feels constantly busy with worry, fear, or overthinking, it can be hard to stay connected to the world around you. Metacognitive therapy can help you step out of looping thinking patterns, reducing distress and allowing your attention to return to your life, relationships, and values. Together, we can work towards less time spent inside your own mind, freeing up more space for living.

A confidential space where you can learn to work with your mind, not against it.

Welcome

I’m Rhiannon, a Metacognitive and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.

I use evidence based approaches that help you move away from overthinking, constant monitoring, and anticipation, towards greater freedom and flexibility in how you live your life.

MCT focuses on your relationship with your thoughts - your “thinking about thinking.” If you spend a lot of time worrying, ruminating, analysing, or monitoring for threat, MCT can help reduce how much attention these processes take. This often leads to less emotional distress and anxiety, and more mental space to focus on what matters to you.

CBT is a practical, action-focused approach that helps you make meaningful changes. It can be especially helpful if your world has started to feel smaller due to anxiety, fear, or self-critical beliefs. We focus on reducing avoidance and, where appropriate, working towards Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) goals, always guided by your values rather than fear.

I am registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies BABCP and the Metacognitive Therapy Institute MCTI.

“When I first started working with Rhiannon, I was struggling with anxiety. I was feeling overwhelmed and lost, and I wasn’t sure where to turn. Rhiannon immediately put me at ease with her kindness and compassion.”
